Removing scratches and scuffs from bumpers etc

My wife insists on driving our Subaru into and against things. The blue plastic skirts are covered in a myriad of scratches and scrapes. Is there anything I can do to repair this or is plastic buggered once it is scratched? Ta.

pics would prob be easier if these descriptions are anything to go by

polish it out, you can get rid of a fair amount that way
