Removing scratches from perspex??

Ive only had my antec 900 for a week, and the side window is totally covered with light scratches where Ive been cleaning it, Is there some kind of polish that will remove the scratches, I am thinking to get a glass window cut for it, what do you think guys??

Or can you get scratch resist perspex?? I idealy need a solid black side but can you get a solid side for the 900??

Some kind of plastic polish.

I can't remember the name off the top of my head. Buts it just like car stuff, for clear plastics.

You can get a new panel from antec. Theres a web address kicking about somewhere. You can also buy the solid side and use it on the otherside as they are swapabble.

Acrylic = Perspex

Perspex is just a brand name for Acrylic, so that guide looks as though it'll work. Not to mention that it uses stuff that you're likely to have lieing around, or if not, Brasso, silver polish and wet 'n' dry paper are useful things to buy!

I always use Brasso, seems to do the job really well.

I'm guessing if they used polycarbonate the price would increase a lot.

My Antec 900 window also has lights of light scratches on it, almost like sand paper, and i swear i haven't touched it...the scratches are on the inside.

It's like the dust being pulled through scratches it, i'm shocked.

If there is dust on a glossy surface and it is wipd clean, it will almost certainly scratch it (lots of minute ones).

Only small scracthes, but they reflect the light.

i also have a lot of scratches very hard to get rid off and sometimes it gets worse. im also looking for a solution

Thanks guys, might go for a solid side, if the right side will fit on the left,, cos the other cases ive had, the right side wont fit on the left.

aparantly it should fit fine according to another thread here on ocuk asking about a plain side panel from antec.

had some pics to but i cant seem to find the post as i dont remember exactly the name

should fit the same way mine does on my case. i can just take it off . flip it around and it fits perfect. though i havent found another plain panel for my case . so i just have the window.

EDIT: It even says on the websit that it can be used instead of a window. "Can be used as left side panel if you do not like the window."

To the OP, theres a product bikers use on their helmets ( as well as contact jugglers) that removes small scratches like that, not sure what its called but a bike shop or maybe Halfrauds may sell it

I bought some (small tube of it) off the market a while ago to get some scratches off an old case I owned up until last year.

Has anyone changed there perspex to glass? Cos I am really thinking of getting some cut to fit it. Are there any downsides with glass apart with that you need to be careful that you dont smash it??

I wouldnt really care how my side window looked, but I must have spent a good 5-6 hours of tidying the inside of my case up, so I want to kind of show off my hard work..lol .... Youve probably seen it in other threads ive posted, but here it is again.lol
