Any tips on doing this please guys? Do stud extractors really work? Even on 12 year old studs that are probably welded (or at least rusted) into the hub?

normal extractors probably won't work, get an engineering firm to drill it out properly, should cost about £20

Ahh, I'm not going to bother removing the hub.

If I can't do it outside the house, I'll get a garage to do it.

Cheers for the reply anyway :)

Hammer it out the back of the hub. Thats how there fitted, into a splined countersunk hole on the hub. Means you probably need to disassemble the wheel bearing and preferable replace it.

Easy to get a upright from a scrappy tbh.
