Removing startup junk

I know this is probably a noob question, but how do you remove applications from your startup sequence? It takes me several minutes now for everything to stop loading and it annoys me.

Start -> Run -> msconfig

Choose startup tab, click away.

Unsure of anything post it here.

Thanks, that did it. Now takes about 5 seconds from typing in my password to the system being usable
