Spray it with WD40 inside around the stuck battery and hopefully it will help loosen whats got it stuck and just ja ja ja ja ja jiggle it abit

the boiling water sounds like a winner, maglite's are water tight so could work

Tie the torch to a sturdy piece of string at the bulb end. Swing violenty and the centrifugal force will push the batteries out.

buy a can of IPA and blast that inside it will work much better than WD40 leaving no residue or gunk. Will be 100% non harmful for the torch aswell

Stick a screw driver / spike through the bottom of one. (Wear rubber gloves too).
