Removing "symantec encryption desctop"

Hi
Got a SSD(second hand from MM) which I was going to run parted magic on to re-initialize.
But upon booting from the SSD I found it to be encrypted with symantec encryption desctop.
Now the question is - is it ok to use parted magic on it?

you want to get rid of whats on it anyway so dont worry about the Symantec thing.
