Removing text from an image CS2

Is it possible to remove the text from this image?

I'm not asking for it to be done for me, just a point in the right direction as to which method/tools to use. I did try and start with the clone stamp, but it looked rubbish.

clone stamp is what you'll need probably. I'm absolutely awful at it, but I know it can be done - I've seen iCraig do some very special things with it

EDIT: Do you want all the text removed or just the bit at the bottom?

I'm trying to remove both sets of text ideally, top and bottom

This is as far as I've got so far - it's not perfect and I'm not that happy with the explosion, but I'm not going to spend all day on it!

It's just a mixture of spot healing and clone stamp - using different opacity %'s on the clone stamp occasionally to even stuff out.

There probably are guides - have a look at worth1000.com - some of the stuff on there is amazing and they do offer some tutorials.
