Removing the mic on Medusa SL-8793

Its the gunmetal knurled bit. Its actually an RCA jack. Unless you have the new versions which dont come off. I hear about them, but dunno wether its true.
 
I've tried pressing the indented part of the mic base in and then really pulling hard but nothing happens.

I'll contact them and see what they say.
