Removing Vista 2011 Security virus

Hi there - need some help for my brother in removing this virus from his computer.

I've tried talking him over the phone through the usual steps = safe mode - malwarebytes - superanti-spyware etc but its still there when he reboots. I'm not able to go round his place tonight so any tips to get rid of this thing would be much appreciated.

Worth a scan with MSE, I had it remove one like this lately that malwarebytes couldn't. You can't run it in safe mode, and the virus will most likely not let you run MSE. To get around that is pretty simple thou, creating another user or using another user account if there is one normally works.

These types of viruses strangely only normally effect 1 user.

If you have the name of the virus check the website of one of the big AV companies as they have manual removal tools for particular viruses.

Turn off system restore before beginning the prcedure, then malwarebytes it, reboot to safe mode, malwarebytes it again and then reboot and a final malwarebytes should be clear.

Disable system restore (prevents things from hiding in there)
Run ccleaner slim (removes temp files so scans will go quicker)

-Remove nod32
Run Microsoft Security Essentials
