removing vista rc1

Simple, just kill the partition it's stored on and format and merge it. I would (to be on the safe side) back your XP important data to a DVD incase it goes a little south.

if you were dual booting, boot from the xp cd as if you were running setup. on the first screen you'll have the option to use the recovery console. choose this and then enter the admin password and you'll be at a command prompt. run these 2 commands.....

fixboot
fixmbr

now reboot and you should get back into your previous windows version without being prompted to choose vista. now you can safely format/delete your vista partition. :)
