I've uninstalled the driver package (360 Accessories for Windows), and I thought I'd deleted the inf and sys files in the windows directory. However, XP still picks up the controller when I plug it in, so there's clearly some files been left behind.
Doesn't anyone know exactly what I have to get rid of?

The reason I want to do this is so I can use the XBCD drivers, and have Windows pick up the controller with this driver when I plug it in..

Cheers

open c:\windows\inf\ and check all oemX.inf files where X is a number. delete the offending .inf AND .pnf :)

also in regedit, goto

HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\setup\installation sources (no spaces)

delete all the values contained within but do not delete the key itself.... :p

reboot.

Do XBCD drivers work with vista?

Also do XBCD drivers work with the xbox 360 wireless controller using microsoft gamming reciever?
