Removing X11 from OSX

I'm trying to get OpenOffice.org running on OSX but when I run it it says X11 isn't installed.

However when I try to install X11 from Apple, I can't because 'newer software already exists' on the drive.

Does anyone know how I could go about removing X11 when its not installed, it's not in Applications?

Thanks for that, it solved my immediate problem. I'd still like to know what's wrong though, just in case I need to use any other X11 apps in the future.
