Removing X2 4400+ stock heatsink

I'm having a little trouble removing the thing tbh, I've unclipped both sides and for some reason it wont budge. Saying that I am pretty scared to yank it off, but surely it shouldnt require a great deal of force? I had the comp on for an hour before attempting it, tried it - nope, left it to cool down - nope.

Seems very strange, I am not a tech guy but maybe if you could take a pic and post one here some one who is in the no may be able to help.

ah its cool, sorted now. The CPU was stuck to the heatsink! scary stuff.. Thankfully no bent or broken pins, lever was down aswell, didnt know it could pop out ;/

All ok now tho

seems almost everytime i remove my heatsink the cpu comes with it, the only heatsink i have used to date where it doesn't is an Akasa evo33. Never permanently damaged a cpu yet, thankfully, have bent a couple of pins though.

The thermal interface matrial sometimes sticks to the hsf i usally just wiggel it a bit works fine.
