I dont think it has a manifold, those tubes lead straight to the cylinder. Looks cool either way. This is a new vid with a v8 engine for the next season, I havent noticed it posted here before.

I guess the cold air intake would be part of the chassis and bolt on top

Indy car equalivant shows no sign of injection so :confused:

Maybe its to better mix air and fuel in a swirl effect

Ah, the sound of an F1. I remember two/three years back when they had the F1 show on Regent Street, the sound was music to the ears.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about (the 8 openings at the top in the video which seem to get stuff sprayed on them), isnt that cooling of some sort?

no they are the throttle bodies and that is fuel going in.

I thought maybe its water injection but that doesnt make sense for a F1 car when weight is so critical. I think Simon explained it allready otherwise its something to do with the fact its on a dyno

As long as Ferrari aren't thrown back to the front now sprint-tyres have been re-introduced, it should be quite a season with a right royal shootout between Schui, Alonso, Kimi & Montoya.
