My megane diesel 1.5 dci has a problem with the clutch. It sticks to the floor occasionally especially when I am stuck in traffic and i am keeping the clutch pedal in . This happened a few months ago and I had to get the AA out as i thought the clutch had gone all together. The AA man said that sometimes the clutch pedal over heats and can stick but all so said the clutch may be on the way out so I decided to have a new clutch fitted which cost a fortune but thought better safe than sorry.
It has not solved the problem as the other day I was stuck in traffic and the same thing happened.
Any one know if this a a common problem with the renault or if there is anything I could do to stop it happening or is it just a case of stop using the clutch when stopped in traffic and actually go out of gear and apply the hand brake everytime i stop.
