I've been hoping this makes it to film for decades when i first read the books, and the three times I've re-read them.

Should be more like the books if Villeneuve is in charge rather than some of the other directors who lean into artistic interpretation a bit to much at times, didn't he also do Arrival? That's a top ten film for me.
