Renewing vows?

I didn’t think there was any time limit for it although a significant wedding anniversary such as 5, 10 or 25 will do. It could even be after twelve months for some. We’ve never seen the need for it. There have been good and bad times and our commitment will continue till our dying day. Anyway you don’t need another excuse for a party.

^^ what he said :)

I disagree really. I think it's nice to be reminded of what's important and what we may take for granted. I would certainly think of it at 25 years but no sooner. It would be a quiet affair with just immediate family and no guests followed by an evening meal.

I meant mine the first time round. They were eternal then, too - no sell-by date. Dont see a need to ever 'renew' them.

We didn't exactly get the wedding we wanted so I'd more than happily 'renew' after ten years of marriage (or something similar).

I spoke to my Mum about this not that long ago, I was saying what was the point and she was saying it's usually for people who have been unfaithful or whatever and it's a way of "starting again"

So I don't plan on ever renewing mine.

i totally disagree with the starting again or unfaithfull comments, we were thinking of renewing our vows after 10 years because we love each other so very much and to thank each other for everything, Plus its one of the most special times of our lives and both wish to feel that special day again.
The fact that so many get married then divorced i just dont understand, as when you say the vows its for life in my eyes, otherwise whats the point? too many people are unfaithful imho.
