Wife just mentiond today the drawers in bedroom do not slide back smoothly so my job for today was finding out why - Pulled drawers out and it was the screws holding runners on drawer unit itself that had come loose. Tightened them up and were fine -Been in now 15yrs.
So from this job I started to check wardrobe door screws and everyone was loose -A lot of this because the thread had gone in door which is 18mm MDF.
So my next job is drill out the hole and put a plug in but before I do anything I checked online and found some Blum hinge plastic dowel that expands when you screw a screw in.
So has anyone first hand knowledge of replacing screws and fitting any sort of plug to do this job - Total of 32 holes. Also tightened up doors in spare room but not so many loose screws.
I have also checked the kitchen and bathroom screws but they were ok.

Personally I just use some PVA wood glue.
Give it a good squirt into the hole, let it set. (hour should be fine)
Then you can screw in and they will hold nicely.
The PVA glues whatever loose wood is in there in effect and it itself will hold a screw well.
