Renewing with o2

Hi everyone I am just wondering a few things.. I am due for renewal in about 14 days, I have been a loyal customer with o2 for over 10 years with two contracts (mine and my wifes). The same phone numbers, just an upgrade each year.

I am looking at an iphone 6 64GB, either 2GB or 5GB data (likely the 2GB).

Anyway my brother in law has just renewed, he has only been with o2 3-4 years and they offered him an iphone 6 64GB, with 5GB data for £46 (normally £53) with no upfront cost. A saving of £7 a month.

I want a deal also, being a loyal and longer customer who has never had any issues. How would I go about it? I normally upgrade on the o2 website but obviously there is no room to haggle.

Any tips? :)

Find a better deal then bargain. Then wonder why you're wasting time bargaining when you should just have moved. Loyalty gives you nothing. But we all know that now.

I scream at the guy when I do my car renewal, "why is it $500 when it was $250 last year" "costs have gone up sir" "f'off you have 3 mins to make it less that $250 or I move" "245 ok sir?"

there is no such thing as loyalty anymore for customers...even those loyalty schemes really give you a lot less that it gives the supermakets from a data perspective.

As a network provider I just prefer o2 but I guess now is the time to look at deals!

I spoke to them yesterday, it took a while but I managed to get the £31 early update fee waived, the iphone 6 64gb for free, the contract itself is £43 for unlimited minutes and texts and 2GB of data.

So I got the phone and extra 1gb data a month for less then I am paying on my previous contract, only by about 13p a month but still good :D
