I spent today comepletely redesigning my website. What's your opinions please? :)

Please let me know if you spot any problems, I've tried it in Opera 9.5, Firefox 3 and IE 7.

Very nice and clean cut.

Personally I would add some separators between your links, such as:

Latest | Archive | Blog | Contact | About | Links

but not a lot else to comment on. :)

Stunning first background image!

Only negative point I can see is your logo/name image isn't saved in highest quality and has noise on it :p

Thanks very much for the comments.

as for the separators, I see what you are saying, I may or may not go for that, as I am personally not a big fan of that (personal taste).

As for the noise on the logo, well spotted! I'll have to try again with that, maybe a PNG is in order :)

Liking the website but when you click on the main image, to show more details and a picture description the whole box jumps to the left by about 10-20px's for me. I'm using FF 3 :)

Getting that too m8, was using FF 2.0 but just downloaded FF3 and yeah, the whole lot moves slightly to the left by about the same amount for me.

I'm liking that a lot!!!

Very nice.

What did you use to do the main gallery?.

The gallery runs on Pixelpost, it's highly customised to work on my site, but it's fairly easy to do so.

Am I right in thinking that this is because you scroll bar is appearing/disappearing when this happens, hence the site moving to the now slightly shifted center of the screen? :)

Yes m8, that's exactly what's happening at my end, scroll bar appears and moves the content over to the left by about the aforementioned 20 pixels or so.

Thanks for the info on Pixelpost, looks interesting.

Yea its the scroll bar adding in when the content gets over the page. It happens on my sites all the time, the only browser it doesn't do it on is IE6 as the scroll bar is always there. Although I'm a firefox user I noticed in IE7 that the dark grey strip is off the screen when you hover over a picture.

I really like the site, nice, clean and simple. :)

Thanks for spotting that, It was my own fault playing with the CSS I'd deleted an all important colon! :D Fixed now though.

Thanks though :)

I have come up with a solution to the slight shift, which makes the page always 1pixel longer than the browser window without altering the design, this means that the scrollbar always shows, even when the page isn't that long. :)

Very nice design.

One issue I noticed was the rollover colours for links in the gallery (next previous etc) are light gray so when you hover over them you can't really see them.

Thanks for the comments.

I will have a look at the rollover colours, see if i can come up with a more suitable combination of standard and roll over colours.
