Renting and temporary net.

Hi all, looking to move into a temporary place which could be from 1 month - a year, its sharing with a lass and she hasnt got the internet, what are my options, is there any rolling contracts or would i be able to atleast game from a dongle? if thats even possible.

Does she have a phone line connected? or is she only using her mobile?

What's your budget per month? What'll you be using the net for; any idea what volume you'll be downloading?

Gaming from a dongle is mostly a no no. FPS games are definitely out, you might get away with some MMOs, etc. if you've got a good signal/fair line of sight and a reasonable network.

Be* do a rolling contract thats slightly more expensive then standard but i don't know if you'd be able to get a phone line on short/rolling contract too (BT charge 2.50 for each month left ion contract if you break early).

You may be able to get a normal contract and take it with you when you move on.

when i last used a dongle gaming was possible but very very laggy, this was a year or so ago and i know the techs supposed to be a bit better now.
