Is this possible?
Are there any online services in the UK that allow you to rent PC games for a monthly fee via post or download?

www.metaboli.co.uk
Basically you pay a monthly subscription and then download and play as many games as you want. If you cancel your subs, then you can't play the games any more.
For people with a lot of spare time (i.e who can complete a game every week) it's a very cost effective way of getting hold of slightly older titles.

I wasn't aware lovefilm did PC games, i'll have to check that out.
That metaboli service looks very good, anyone had any positive experiences?
To be able to play before the download has finished is a great feature!

Looking at it, it seems like quite a bargan even if you go for a single game per month for £13/ppm seems pretty sweet
I can see atleast 3 or 4 there I meant to pick up at some point.... might have to investigate further

Ive used it as I get some many free from virgin media package. Basically you install the program on your PC and it deals with all the downloading and installing for you. It also loads it in order of when it is need in the game so you can play before its finished downloading. On the down side it didnt seem to have a lot of the big name games on there.

That looks excellent! I've wanted to play few games on there. Might have to check it out when I finish my exams!

Anyone ever tried these guys?

I signed up with Metaboli.co.uk tonight and am impressed. There's no spyware/adaware and the software used to download the games has no hit on system resources whatsoever.
It doesn't choke your internet connection like P2P may do and their servers are nice and fast even though the download speed did drop slightly in places.
The game selection is a little limited but great if you don't need the latest and greatest.
