Repair SR2 Motherboard query..

Hey Guys,

I know that this isnt the motherboard forum but I thought that you might be able to help. A friend has offered me and EVGA SR2 motherboard, the problem is that they sockets are buggered... I was wondering if there was any where that I could get the sockets replaced??

How buggered? Just a few bent pins or broken ones? EVGA do a socket replacement but it probably costs more than the board is worth (I think $60-$80 per socket plus shipping etc)

WTF! how the hell did they do that :(

Crying shame.

Mind you I managed to rip off the pcie slot from weebeasties motherboard trying to get the quad titans out :eek:
 
Hi,

we do offer to replace sockets, one socket will cost 100EUR. If both are damaged we offer 80EUR per socket as the board do only need to get prepared for soldering one time....
Let me know if there is any further question about this.

LOL, i have never known someone to rip a PCI socket out before :D

you must have been stood on the board pulling the card with your hands :p
