Repairing concrete floor

I took up my kitchen floor(s) yesterday and ended up back at the concrete and have found a couple of spots that are loose and uneven.

The bits that are loose aren't massive but don't sit flat and can be moved by wiggling a screwdriver in the crack.

My plan is to lay thick basalt tiles over the top of this floor - how do I repair it to a decent standard for this?

Edit: The cracks run deep, so whilst the loose bits are only about the size of a dinner plate they are quite thick.

Make sure the hole is clean and dry.

Depending how deep they are, you might be able to fill it with just tile cement.

Failing that, get some granite chips and cement, mix with water, and use that to level the floor up.
