Repairing XFS partition

Hi all,

I've got a NAS drive here which is formatted as XFS but for some reason the partition information has become corrupted and wont let us access it.

Is it straight forward to rebuild the partition information to get it working again without losing data?

That was my next thing to try but I'm a bit reluctant just incase it fubars the drive completely.

I'm just searching around for data recovery companies.

Why, oh why do these things always land on my desk?

If nothing else works you should be able to use testdisk to try and fix things, or if that also fails photorec to get the files off of the partition, though this is a last resort in most cases.

lol no, blame whoever put XFS on it in the first place.

That'll be Buffalo, its a NAS drive, and the blinking backup didnt work grrr
