My MacBook is not a happy little machine. The keyboard has serious issues to say the least! u has totally broken, and other keys randomly stop and start working, as does the trackpad. Then today the internal fan completely stopped working!

I am going to go over to Bristol (i am in Cardiff) and see what they say. Does anyone have any experience of Apple repairs? Not having the machine will really cause me problems, so i would rather it didnt take weeks!

Theres an apple reseller in cardiff, so not really any need to go over to bristol? Fairly sure resellers can deal with warranty work too.

I am going to try them again in the morning, but they quoted me over 2 weeks to fix the keyboard alone!

Just a quick question...

This MacBook is now 2.5yrs old, but was bought through the Higher Education store. Will i actually have warranty?

When i do the checker on the site it says:
'Our records indicate that your product is covered under a custom contract. For more information about your coverage, please contact us. '
so i am a bit confused!

I just phoned the Apple support place for education (0845 378 0006) and i have 7 months left. Hopefully they will sort this machine out and give it some new parts :)

This morning it wouldn't even turn on!

It looks as though most of the machine will need replacing... so we shall see how they get on with that! :)
