My doc' prescribed some drugs for me. I took the white/green slip into my local chemist & they handed back the drugs & white slip.

Went to my doc' again who said il do a repeat percription this time. He printed out another form as before but the white/green slip mensions nothing about repeat perscriptions.

How exactly does this work? Il take the skip to my chemist but wont i have to visit the doc again to get another slip?

They will give you half of the slip back, which you can then return to your doctor's surgery/chemist (they usually have a little box for these) when you need a new batch. In a couple of days you'll get the drugs arrive at the chemist, or a new script produced if you drop it at the doctors.

If you go to Boots, they will arrange everything you just tell the pharmacist you are running low and they will arrange for it to be renewed and tell you when it is ready, it's proper good :)

They will be. NHS site said electronic forms will be used soon. I expect that will cost £1 billion (so £2 billion then) lol to implement

They don't need the new NHS Computer System (see below!)

yep, my GPs surgery has web forms for appointments and prescriptions

Awesome, isn't it? I have a repeat presciption on average 2 to 3 times (and see a doctor almost as much) a month and if I had to go in or ring to do that all the time it would be a hughe ball ache.
