Currently running a 5770 Vapor-X which is great for noise levels but is getting a little leggy with newer titles, I want something faster but just as good with fans noise.

Anyone have any ideas what would be a good card to upgrade to or should I stick a second 5770 for crossfire?

The 5870 at £149 is probably the best value atm :

Looks identical to my XFX 5850, so if it's the same fan it should be fine for noise once you set up a fan profile in Afterburner, Trixxx, etc...

Probably not as quiet as your vapor-x, but should still be ok.

5770 cossfire can be slightly slower, or slightly quicker, than a 5870 depending on the game, but should have better minimum framerates & just be generally less hassle for very similar performance.

If you wanted to try crossfire, there's a B-Grade Asus 5770 CuCore in the clearance lines for £69 :

What motherboard & psu are you using ?

hi,
I'd say sell as fast as u can and get that 5870, though be warned, noise is not as good as your vapor-x. also xfx have a bad reputation with service, though ocuk now handle that.
I have CF 5770's and performance is very good, drivers are perfect as well.
Most modern game I play is starcraft II with everything on ultra @ 1920x1080 frames are above 40, averaging ¬60, though I have both of the cards at around 900 core and 1320 memory.
