Hi, as stated in topic my out of warranty gfx card is causing my system to crap out during games. it's 80c idle then during gaming it's way over 100c an then system crashes an blue screens where before it restarts i notice what looks like a nvidia .dll mentioned on the BSOD message.

So now im looking to replace the card but without dropping in performance. So what am i looking at roughly? Rest of my spec is 4gb of OCZ Reaper DDR2 ram, Q9450 running @ 3.2ghz. I run games at 1920 x 1200 an yes i like a bit of AA and AF on when I play, as im hoping to run games like Bad Company 2 and AVP at a decent standard. I can spend around £300, bit more if it means gettin the performance i want. Suggestions? :D

A 5870 wouldn't be overkill for my system then? A 5870 Vapor X does seem nice, out of stock at the moment too :( Any ideas when they back in should i choose to get one?

Well it's a BFG and I soon will have had the card 2 years, it may even be a lifetime warranty but I have 1 problem. When I bought my PC the card came preinstalled with it. But the firm I bought my PC from went out of business, I have no paperwork barring a driver CD and a leaflet explaining how to install the card. How will this stand me with BFG customer support? Or is all i need is a serial number to please them? Anyone else had this issue? What likely replacement would i get should i get any joy out of them? Thanks for any help you can give guys :D

I sent them an email, what are they likely to offer me in exchange? Can bog off if it a 260 or 275 tbh lol. That card was not cheap lol
