I've noticed recently that my H70 isn't cooling as well as what it was. It is free from dust and the case is more than up to the job (FT02). Time to maybe change the fans or just look at a completely new cooler? Tems in SWTOR on my i7-2600k are creping up towards 70 and I'm fairly sure that they used to hover around 50 a few months ago. What's a good air cooler to go for if I do change? Or maybe another Corsair unit? I just want it to be quiet and cool.

I think I will go for the Gentle Typhoons. Which thermal paste? Would need some that's in stock on OcUK so I benefit from the free postage.

Go into bios and see what speed your pump runing (cpu fan speed). also you can touch radiator if its hot your pump works just fine.

edit. check your cpu core voltage, motherboard can overvolt your cpu and you get high temps

I'll have a look this evening. Voltage hasn't changed since I got the CPU idle at 4.5GHz last summer.

So I finally got annoyed with seeing my CPU above 70 and even reaching 82 yesterday. I cleaned up the HSF, new paste, and then checked the BIOS. Turns out my CPU was getting too much juice, I've dropped the OC from 4.5 to 4 now and made it so the V doesn't go above 1.2 ish V. Never above 55 degrees C now.
