Replace H80 fans?

Would there be any issue replacing the stock fans on the H80 cooler with these? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-026-CS

They are lower max RPM I think and I'd presume using the lower profiles would dim the LEDs? But I run on the max profile anyway. Obvs I don't want to damage my cooler so in any way (that would be an arse to replace) so if anyone else has changed theirs on a H80 or H100 etc let me know your results and what you used? Thanks.

Are they LED? I want them to glow more than I need extra cooling (my temps are good, around 60*c under load). I have been pimping my system up a bit (for lack of a better term lol).

Ah sadly not. But they do look better suited! Damn.

Not sure if they do led ones,
but you do need the sp ones as they are made for radiators.
Never tried the af on a radiator but you can try and keep an eye on your temps.
i fitted 4 sp120 on my h100 no problem at all. just make sure they are blowing out of the case

Well, I have just done a build, with the H60 v2, and used the AF120's that you linked. Well, used one. Sucking from outside the case and into the radiator.

I then ran the CPU at 100% for an hour at a time, twice, and got a max temp of around 75. I am away for a couple weeks, so the PC is off, but when I get back, I'll be replacing with 2 SP's running a push / pull config to see if it makes much difference.

BTW, was on a 4770k i7.

Oh that's interesting to know xs2man. I was thinking maybe I could replace *one* of them to add some light but not impact performance too much.

Okay, so did some more testing with the new set-up.

As said before, with a single AF120 blowing straight onto the radiator, with maxing out the CPU's, I was getting max temps in the mid 70's (75-77).

When I got home, I changed out the AF for a single SP. This brought the max temps down to between 70 & 73 roughly (approximately 6-8 hours on 100% CPU load). I then hooked up another SP in a push / pull config and ran a 2 hour 100% load on the CPU's, and the max temp was 68. Only done this once though so far.

So, moving from a single AF120 to dual SP120's has reduced temps by almost 10 deg. Which sounds pretty reasonable to me. I am not using an artificial stress tester though. I am encoding video files, which uses 100% CPU power. I have also not OC'd yet either, as I wanted to sort out the cooling first. So standard clock on 4770k.

As for idle temps, I don't think there has been much, if any, difference. Min temps are currently showing 21-25 deg, with idle around 25-27 deg.

Presumably an H80 should take a couple deg off each value there over the H60v2 though.

Knowing this, I would probably invest in the SP's, run Push / Pull, and get an LED strip or similar for my bling if I were you. Having said that, I am running 8 AF120's elsewhere in my case personally (4 x white running exhaust (well one is the internal fan on my NZXT Phantom 530), and 4 x Blue running intake).
