replace my x1800xtx

I am looking to get a single slot card to replace my

powercooler x1800xtx full vivo card. 512mb


is a x1950pro an ok replacement? would i lose a lot of power, will i miss the 512mb if i drop to 256mb card?

X1800XTX ----> 1950 PRO. I'm not sure if there will be quite an improvement increase. Best bet is to hold out for cards that are due soon.

not bothered about performance increase just dont want to lose much performance going to single slot

Not yet, no, but the 8600GT and Ultra might be.

An X1950Pro would perform about the same as your X1800XT, but if you're only getting rid of it for single slot cooling then I would wait were I in your shoes.

Some shuttles are quieter than others. My SN41G2 makes quite a racket, but the Shuttle ZEN I built for my mother in law is nearly silent.
