I would suggest paying the bit extra an getting the ASUS 5770 Cucore. It does cost £16 more, but it does come with an upgraded cooler, a BIOS that allows for much better overclocking and a 3 year warranty.
As you are replacing a dead card i'm sure you can appreciate the value of a longer warranty period. Make sure you do press on with the RMA with BFG - it may take some time as they are withdrawing from the graphics card market, but you are guaranteed to eventually get a working card that has performance equal or better to your old card.
