Replace pins (yes pins) in 24pin atx

Due to a past incident I basically burnt out my 24pin connection on my psu

To fix this all I think I need to do is cut the wires upstream of the melted wires and put new pins in
Followed by a new ATX plug

Is this a futile task? The parts look cheap but I don't know if I need any special tools particularly to clamp pins to the wire

Ah that's an issue.
It's probably not worth the cost of that tool to fix.

I am pretty sure it's not damaged as it stopped running the system due to contacts not connecting
