replace r9 280

hi I need some advise on a card replacement my 280 has failed, i'm looking at
a 960 or a 380 can't really go above 200.

running an i5 3.2 750w psu 16 gb

Get a used 290X, significantly better than a 960 or 380. Even a 290 is much better, with the triple fan Powercolor and Saphire Tri-X/Vapor X being the best non reference coolers.

yes it ran out about 5 weeks ago

Its only been out a little over a year. How long was the warranty? what brand?

Used 290. Or used GTX 970 if you can find one for £200, or a GTX 780.
