replace Zalman CNPS9700 NT?

Hi

my new rig is a 2500k, asrock z68 ex4gen3, fractal r3, gfx undecided.

I am currently using my Zalman CNPS9700 NT. is it worth replacing it?
I am after a very quiet PC. in the r3 i am using stock fans only.

Probably not - spec. says it should work with the socket( tho' paring such with your actual m-board ?) and from what I've read it's a decent cooler.

Give it a go - you can always buy a new cooler if it does not do the job that you want

I have it installed, I just don't know whether it is noiser than current models at load.
