Yep - that 5% failure-rate is just taking the pee. Recently RMA'd my BFG 7900GTX - the whole process was easy enough and very fast.

It seemed fine for a few weeks but then last night I was shutting down the PC and just before it turned off the screen corrupted slightly, which wasn't normal (I notice things like that). So I booted back up and played some Oblivion. No problems after an hour so I tried Doom 3. After about 2 mins I had artefacts appearing and on exiting the game my desktop was corrupted and flashing on and off with every click of the start menu.

AARGH same problem as last time! :(

Rebooted and ran 3dMark06. This ran okay until just before the end of the final (snow) test, at which point it turned into a disco of pretty, flashing colours. As with the previous card, temperatures were 48-54 degrees so no problems there.

Now I've got to pay another fiver to send it back to BFG again.

Could my system be killing the card? It's overclocked but the settings that would likely cause problems like PEG link mode, HT freq and PCI freq are all off/locked. Could anything be killing it? My previous card (7800GTX 256MB) was fine with this overclock.

For reference my OC is 10x260 @ 1.35v with HTx3. RAM is /166 @ 2.8v. Memtest OK, Super Pi OK, Prime OK.
