Replacement bike options

As I posted a couple of weeks ago, my Yamaha Super Tenere was nicked and has been recovered.
I'm fairly sure it will be written off and I'm not entirely sure I'll want to buy it back so am looking at other options.

Having spoken to the police it seems that trail style bikes have been getting stolen increasingly in this area and I'm reluctant to get another.
I'm looking for something with a similar riding position, so upright with little forward lean. I need a tall bike as I'm 6'1" and something with some grunt as I'm more than 20st.
Budget is £3k and age/mileage isn't a huge concern.

Alternatives I've been thinking of are TDM900, Multistrada 1000. Tiger 955 is a little more off road styled than I'd like.
Primary use will be commuting, but I do motorway slogs reasonably regularly enough to think faired could be preferable. Needs to not look ridiculous with a backbox attached, as one will be permanently.

What else should I be looking at?

Cheers

Sprint ST is worth a look
Er6 is too small physically
KLE650 is too trail styled
ZX6R is a sports bike
Fazer thou might be worth a look
Blackbird is too sports orientated
Africa twin is no different to the tenere

Thanks so far, keep the suggestions coming please!

Suzuki DL 1000?
I've had one before and began looking again this afternoon prior to seeing this post.
I only sold it last time for financial reasons and would happily have another. This and the KLV000 are cheap as chips.

@ the op you also need better security imo, really good quality lock n chain

I wouldn't let it limit my bike choice tbh,id still go for what you fancy
A good lock and chain does nothing against the professional thief who turns up with a mate and an angle grinder as was the case with my bike.
You're right about it dictating my choices though, but I didn't realise how bad I'd be feeling about it until my bike was stolen.
