Replacement boot carpet thing

So the boot carpet thing in my fiesta went moldy (ewwww), and got itself destroyed, but I would like to replace it with something equally velcro-friendly, and that will stay in the right shape without wandering all over the boot. Any suggestions?

I made a replacement once.

I cut a thin hardboard template to the shape of the boot floor, coated it liberally with adhesive, and stuck some of that thin backless grey carpet to it (the stuff you cover DIY parcel shelves with.
