Replacement budget gfx?

my HD6450 Died earlier, brand new. not sure I want to go through the same thing again, so could someone recommend an alternative for a similar price, (would this budget gpu kill skyrim?) preferably as good but for something that cheap, will I notice a difference?

How did it die? What's wrong with it? Bit strange for a brand new card to suddenly die. What's the rest of the system specs?

960t, 8gb 1600mhz ram, GA-970-DS3. worked for a while, managed to intall OS, but when it restarted, no input on screen, tried again about 15 times, no screen input, tested with gfx from other desktop (not mine), and all other components work fine. fan on card not spinning either.

If it's brand new then it should still be under warranty. Contact the seller and they'll send you a replacement.

Turns out it's not the gfx, but the motherboard, deciding only to occasionally power the pci-e16x.
