Hey guys,

Been a while since I posted in here, just after some advice on what to replace my equipment with after a recent burglary..

I had a Canon 600D with a Sigma 17-70mm lens on it which is the main bits they took (along with accessories). Luckily they didn't find my camera drawer with other lenses in etc.

The insurance have said they can replace with a 700D as the 600D is no longer made and the latest version of the Sigma which is USB dock compatible I believe but I also have the option of taking cash.

Looking around the latest Sigma seems to have mixed reviews with a lot of people mentioning focussing issues etc so am considering just taking cash and looking at my options. I want to stick with Canon and have a 50mm 1.8 and a Canon 55-250mm lens already so interested to hear what you would go for with £850 to spend..

Edit - My photography consists of 50/25/25 in percent of Landscape/Cars/Architecture to give you an idea of usage

I have a 650D and the 760D is a small but tempting upgrade, might be worth considering.

If you mainly interested in landscape/cars/architecture have a look at a 2nd hand UWA like the 10-22, or the new cheaper EFS 10-18.

Alternatively if you want a wider range and a faster lens then the 17-55 2.8 is an excellent lens (but pretty expensive new) however it's fairly common to find 2nd hand.

Thanks Genoma. Am considering waiting for that or maybe just looking at the 70D, seem to be quite close contenders by the looks of it, although weather sealing is a bonus. Will check out the suggested lenses :)
