I guess something was bound to happen :) Haven't done my CBT yet (due to on Wednesday) Thought I'd get a bit of practice going back and forth and ended up scraping the end of the exhaust against the wall. Anyway, did a little bit of reading about getting a replacement one eventually but I'm not sure how many would fit and be road legal.

Anyway, heres a picture.

Might not be such a bad thing replacing it as I've not heard good things about them when it comes to winter.

Looks like it's just part of the end cap, which should come off. If it does, take it off sand it down, then either paint it or get it powdercoated, don't bother replacing the whole exhaust.

pop in halfords and buy a silver touch up stick that near enough matches the colour and touch it up,no one will notice

Id agree with the others, no need to replace anything, especially as its only for lack of a better phrase, the chrome bits (if they are chrome at all lol).

Personally id just leave it, as others have said, zero point in replacing a whole exhaust just for a slight cosmetic issue. My Ybr gets used in all weathers, and my exhaust is fine (bit of cosmetic) but mechanically is sound, i would'nt over worry about the whole replacing thing, ok there are some horror stories out there, but it will be fine, and should last a good while yet.

Stock yamaha exhausts are anywhere from £75 -£100 depending where u buy, next step from that are Chinese made ones which are around £125+ (most buy these for the sound). The only replacement one i would consider for my own, would be a GPR Full stainless exhaust, but these cost a small fortune, £250.

Give what the other guys said a try, or simply just ignore it.

I can't believe you're thinking about changing a perfectly good exhaust for what appears to be a miniscule scuff....

As said, file it back and get the t-cut out if it bothers you.

Personally I'd leave it.

:) Guess I'm just overreacting, just wanted to keep it nice for as long as possible since it was new and if I ever do get round to replacing it at some point I'll also go with the GPR Full stainless exhaust.

Thanks.
