Replacement for 4850

So my mum and dad have finally decided that the 10 year old server PC, is now, too old. So I offered to build them one and they said yeah. So I can probably scrounge a new graphics card out of this. Give them my 4850 and I get a replacement for my E8400 build. Now I was thinking about a 4890, as OcUK are going some fantastic deals on them at the moment. What do you guys think. I would like it to be Below £160 please.

Edit - Would a Gainward GTX 260 Golden Sample be a better bet? I've heard fantastic reviews from those cards, + would it be faster in Photoshop etc? I also want the card to be quiet, I am not going to be overclocking it.

Looking at most of the Benchmarks the 260 seems on par with the 4890 and in some cases, better. I'd prefer the 260 as it will have better drivers, run quieter, and I'm guessing, have less problems.

I was looking at that. Playing on a 22" sreen, 1680x1050. Alongside with E8400 at 3.4GHZ, 2X2GB of RAM.

Gainward Golden Sample GTX 260 Core 216.

XFX GTX 275.

I would like to go with the 275 as it gives similar performance to a GTX 280, has anybody tried the XFX 275?

Yeah I'd like it. I wonder if OcUK will drop its price a bit more. I'd say £150 and that would be a steal. Are we talking like 5-10 more FPS in games than my 4850?

Crap. I forgot about my PSU. It is a 500 Watt Antec Earthwatts. Would this be enough to powe a 4890 or 275? The 275 draws less power apparently.

Right. I've decided. I'm going for http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-104-GW&tool=3 . I don't do much gaming and if I do it is either CSS or COD5. The Gainward Golden Sample runs cool, has boosted clock speeds, I think it suits the bill for 1680x1050 gaming with an E8400 @ 3.4GHZ. What do you guys think? I think it is at a good price aswell. Is it quiet too?

Bump. Sorry guys. I really need to know whether a GTX 260 can run on a 500W PSU? Am I cutting it far too close?

I still dunno. Antec's calculator is saying that my current system only draws 252 Watts. Do you think that 500W is safe for a Gainward 260?
