Replacement for 7850 OC

Hi.
So the above card just died on me, dead as a dodo.
It was used in my main PC, which while ageing was working fine and allowing me to play lots of games and do my work.

Would an r7 370 be an ok replacement for about £120. The PC only has a PCIE2 slot, but im pretty sure the 7850 was PCIE3 and worked fine. Its been a great card.

I'm currently using an old 5870 that I found in the box of spare parts, that rattles. Which is why I replaced it with the 7850 OC (2GB) a few years ago.

Get a https://www.overclockers.co.uk/powe...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-18a-pc.html or save up a bit more for a 470. Or check some 2nd hand deals, I got a 380 4gb for £85.

I would buy a rx470 should be twice as fast as your 7850,i dont think the rx460 is any better than your 7850.

Although the cheapest rx 470 is about £170 for the refence cooler.

The R7 370 is quite literally a rebrand of the 7850.

As suggested, you really would want to step up to the RX 470 to get a meaningful upgrade.

Another suggestion would be to try and source a used 290X if you don't mind going second hand
