Hello - can someone suggest a replacement for a 8600GT card in Pentium 4 machine please? I'd rather buy new rather than second hand - the card only has to be of slightly better quality. Thanks.

Don't want to spend any more than about 50 or 60. The PC is question was basically used in an office so the PSU won't be anything spectacular. It'd be best if the new card didn't need it's own molex connector.

Sorry, I've not explained it very well. The PC is used for some gaming, things like GTA 3 and Farcry 2. The 8600GT played them well enough but seems to have died, so just using onboard graphics at the minute. So need something that will play those games and ideally Nvidia so I don't have to change drivers etc.

You have to change drivers anyway regardless of brand.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus HD 6670 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £54.95
Total : £63.65 (includes shipping : £7.25).

Would probably be the best card without needing external power. However, if you really want Nvidia:

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK GeForce GT 440 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £53.99
Total : £58.98 (includes shipping : £4.16).

But the 6670 will run slightly better than the 440.
