So i'm looking to get a new graphics card to replace my BFG 8800GTS 640mb which is slowly becoming more and more obsolete.

I'll mainly be playing Star Wars: The Old Republic so i'd like to play that at a comfortable level. Monitor resolution is 1920x1080.

I'm probably looking at around the £100 mark for a card. I'm a bit clueless as to whats the best value for money now so any help would be great.

Other specs of my pc

Q6600
4gb (will probably be going back upto 8gb soon).

Thanks for all the advice. I should have mentioned that I have an SLI motherboard atm so i was/am leaning towards the Nvidia card. That being said I'm not likely to splash out on an SLI set up as I'm not a huge pc gamer.

I was looking at the GTX 550 range and saw this:

OcUK GeForce GTX 550Ti OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Is that one good value for money? Or would the 6850 suggested earlier be better for just about a tenner more?

Don't get the 550, it's not worth it. As I said if you can sell your 8800 get a 6870, if not get a 6850.

I've been reading up on the 6850/6870 and there have been some problems with my motherboard (Asus p5ne-sli) so I'm a bit wary of choosing one now. I'd rather get a card where i know there won't be the possibility of any problems.

That being said the GTX 560ti seems to have roughly the same performance as the 6870 but it's a little to expensive. Whats peoples experience with the GTX 560?

Cheers for all of the suggestions.

I now have the 560ti and comming from an 8800 BFG OC was a massive improvement, so much so that I am going SLI soon with another, started benchmarking and the quest for better gets addictive....

If you can stretch, get one.......or two.... :D:D:D:D

See my sig for specs.
