Replacement for 8800GTX?

The 8800GTX 768MB card has been out for a while, is there going to be a replacement top end card to be released soon?

Yes the 8900GX2 for nvidia and the 3870X2 for ATI will both surpass the 8800GTX.

9800GX2 and 3870X2.

I think the 9800GX2 will cost more than the 3870X2 and perform better but ATi has better pricing on there side.

3870 X2 is due out Wednesday, and the 9800 GX2 is supposedly Feb/March, and could be £400-£500+.

Would a Enermax Liberty 620W be ok - talking about the PCI-E connectors, something that new cards are 8pin, I think mine is 6? What's the expected price of 3870 x2?

The GTX is £40 more than GTS 512MB- is it worth it?

At 1680 X 1050 or higher yes.

At 1680x1050 I'd go with a GT, dont see the need for a GTX over a GT at this res tbh.

It'll be 1900x1200 (24") 1680x1050 if I can't get a new monitor.

GTX is worth the extra then if you get a new monitor . I'd wait untill the 3870X2 though see what thats made of .
