sadly my beloved MX518 has given up the ghost, currently using a corsair M60 but just can't get on with it.

any former MX518 owners or anyone in the know tell me what is the natural successor to the 518 as I know it is no longer manufactured.

I'm sure I remember seeing a thread before somewhere that already answered this but for the life of me can't find it

cheers

my mx 518 still fine apart form one of the rubber feet slightly coming of in a small corner i glued it back but just seen you can buy third party feet that fit perfect anyone done this on theirs ?

I cant believe whats going on with mouse prices ? whats going on with the silly prices £50 + for a semi decent mouse now wtf the mx 518 was like £20-£30 why isn't the g400 like £24.99 silly "pro gamer" culture making prices go up

Why the obsession with the MX518? Why not just get the G400 or G400S?

I had an MX518, the cable broke. Replaced with a G400S. The shell is exactly the same shape.

was actually going to ask that earlier to.

what's happened to gaming mice prices?!?! the MX518 in it's pomp was one of, if not the best gaming mouse around and was priced around 25 quid. g400s is about double that.....so is the g400s twice the mouse the MX518 was?? probably not!

Yeah as suggested I would go for the G400 unless you fancy a step up and take the G500 which is another great mouse.

G400 or G500 (s or non s), I'm currently using a normal G500 and it's a fantastic mouse. I especially love the dual-scroll, it makes browsing a smooooooth dream!

Do the G400's still have the cable issues that afflicted them? I went through 3 mice in 5 months due to the same issue that Logitech acknowledged as a manufacturing error. Havent looked at the G400 since - replaced it with a SS Kinzu V2 Pro, which is imo better than the G400 and cheaper to boot.
