So, my gfx decided to conk out and its not even a year old.

My rig is used mainly for gaming (WoW and BF2142) and the 7600GT handled them fine.

Looking to get at least the same power, or maybe a bit more.

Budget will be about £50~, needs to be PCI-E also.

tldr; what cards are the same spec as the 7600GT.

Now the cards above are nearly within your budget but for just a little more you could get so much more oomph than you'd be getting with one of the above cards with a few others I've selected that will be listed below.

When you look at the price differential you will see the reason of why it is a much better option to save a few more quid and get the better card.

In this scenario I think it's best for you to stay with Nvidia. The 3850 without doubt would be a match for your 7600GT but the 8800GS for the same price is the better card (I think) and for £6 more the 8800GT 256MB is better. In fact I'm sure the 8800GS is better than the 256mb ATI card but weaker than the 512mb card.

something like a 3650 would proberbly do you quite nicely, there around £50 - £60 and have a fair bit more whack than a 7600GT i believe, plus they support DX10, shader model 4.0 and such

i'd say get a 3850 512mb... It's above budget, but it will give you the oomph to last and fare a bit better later down the line...

Not to mention they OC like beasts - Gurusan has one at 900/something... that is faster than an OCed 3870

Going from a 7600GT the 3650 DDR3 will be a massive upgrade. I'm pretty sure you'll be impressed.

Well, I don't need anything uber, so I'm settling with a 3650 512mb DDR3. Hope it lasts longer then the old card!!

Nice one :). You'll see a decent boost, likely in the x1950Pro area in performance.

When I see better cards that aren't miles away from the budget I always like to list them but with any of the top 3 you'd have been getting an improvement over your 7600GT anyway.
