Anyone know any good utils to replace explorer?

I multi task like crazy so tabbed browsing is a MUST!! Have a tabbed web browser, tabbed text editor (for coding) so would be much handier to have all my explorer windows in one "window" as it were.

Thats about the only requirement, apart from if anyone else can suggest any nifty features to look for that i am unaware of

cheers

cheers dude, although i was kind of hoping for some specific suggestions, like has anyone actually used it and reason y its good etc

Directory Opus is very good and very comprehensive. There is a trial to see if it suits your needs.

I used to use an earlier version but never bothered after upgrading to Win XP.

xplorer2 lite (free) or explorerplus is what i've been using for the past 6 months.

This is probably exactly what you want .

I personally have never used it though. Although I did install another util to give me folder sizes like files in details view.

I used Opus 8 for a while, but found it buggy and it crashed too much. I actually really like win explorer as a file manger, nothing I have used even on mac OSX, kde, or gnome is as usuable IME

ETA: or try http://guti.webcindario.com/static.php?page=XPlorer
